Hampshire Carp Hatcheries

Hampshire Carp Hatcheries is a family run business that was founded in 1985 by Chris Seagrave, a well published fishery scientist and long time senior lecturer at Sparsholt College. He soon realised that a business partner might be handy. After all, it takes two to haul a seine net. So he was joined by fellow Sparsholt lecturer Pat Haughton. Together they expanded from a small 1 acre site in Petersfield to their current 15 acre site at Bowlake.

Jon Stafford joined Chris and Pat to build and run the farm through its formative years. Since 1996 the farm has been managed by the super talented Mark Stringer. Two dedicated workers Lewis and Matt keep the daily show on the road whilst Michelle tries to make sense of it in the office.
