The common bond is our love of all things fishy. Producing over 80 lines of fish from just 40 ponds is like producing a quart from a pint pot! It requires a dedicated team of players that are hugely reliant on the skills of one another.

Chris Seagrave: PartnerStarted the business with Pat whilst teaching at Sparsholt college as Senior Lecturer in Fishery Management. After 28 years of teaching, he has finally hung up his felt tips. Chris is responsible for the breeding of all of the various species, and generally getting in the way on the farm. First point of contact if you want to purchase stock or need some help
Pat Haughton : PartnerNow Pat has reached the grand age of 50 he is at last showing small signs of slowing down. As well as lecturing 3 days at Sparsholt, where he has taught since the early 80’s Pat runs the fry rearing unit and generally does anything on the farm that requires hitting with a shovel. Definitely the best fisherman in the group.
Mark Stringer : ManagerFormer degree student of Chris and Pat, Mark has run the farm since 1999. Marks skills are too numerous to list, but he looks after a very complex business in all weathers and tolerates the partners always with a smile. He combines this with rearing children and a pack of unruly dogs, sickening really.
Robert Malcolm: Assistant ManagerRob started at Sparsholt on the National Diploma and left with a degree. He doesn’t feel the cold, can turn his hand to all jobs which he performs at the highest level as well as providing us all with smoked trout without being asked.
Mike Dibden: StockmanThe new boy! Mike, another Sparsholt graduate has been on the staff since 2005. Mike is a key member of the team and thrives on any job that requires brute strength, so he can put the rest of us to shame. Mike spends his weekends relaxing with a 100km cycle rides. |
Marilyn Seagrave: Partner
Press ganged into running the office Marilyn makes sure the bills are paid and the staff receives large birthday cakes on the right day. A key member of the team Marilyn copes with all of the paperwork the world throws at us without complaint. Apparently she has never sworn at the computer.
Rosie Haughton: Partner
As Rosie lives on the farm with Pat she is automatically first reserve for all areas when the boys are away on a junket. She can start generators, feed fry and never panics when problems start the minute we all go off site.
