Value for money
You may find fish cheaper but you will not find any
better. Our fish are competitively priced. Due to the
exceptional health status of our fish your losses will
be minimal. Since you will not be paying long distance
and import duties, we can offer substantial discounts
on large orders.
Vigour
All fish are harvested as required and are usually dispatched
to customers within 2 or 3 days of harvest from their
growing ponds. They will arrive fat and lively even
in the early spring. There is NO cooling, anaesthetising,
long term starving, or long distance transportation.
The resultant stock arrives healthy, and virtually stress
free.
Health
Immediately after harvest, all fish are carefully treated
to remove any skin parasites that may be present. This
ensures that there will not be any parasites to develop
on your fish or contaminate your system. Coarse fish
are available with genuine health certificates for 'section
30' consents.

Colour
Broodstock are selected for shape and colour. In particular,
koi are bred from the highest quality Japanese broodstock.
We specialise in producing metallic varieties priced according
to quality. The small number of selected koi are on-grown
for a further year are chosen from tens of thousands of
one year old fish. You will be amazed at their quality
Ghosts are of the traditional pattern with bright metallic
fins, head and scale edges, either in gold or silver.
They are selected so only the most spectacular fish are
sold.
Numbers
Each fish is counted by hand to ensure accuracy. We guarantee
our numbers and add at least 1-2% spare as a further safeguard
to the customer.
Continuity of supply
Since the summer of 2000, Bowlake Fish Farm has virtually
doubled in size. With increased production this enables
us to offer a much greater consistency of supply throughout
the year for both our retail and wholesale customers.
